“Felt honored to have experienced this wonderful opportunity!”

While visiting San Marco square in Venice, my son and I saw a gentleman in period dress handing out brochures for a special performance of either an opera or Vivaldi's Four Season by the San Marco Chamber Orchestra. We decided to buy tickets for the Vivaldi performance which were only about 28 euros a piece. We were told that this only occurred a few times in July, so I was excited at the chance to participate in this rare occasion. The hall was a high ceiling chamber right on San Marco square and obviously several hundred years old.. My son googled information about Vivaldi and learned that he composed and played his music in a hall with similar dimensions in Venice during his time. There were no more than about 80 people for this performance, as we sat on folding chairs and listened to the MOST BEAUTIFUL and TALENTED performance of the Four Seasons I have ever heard. The lead violinist was incredible! I still get goosebumps when I think about that night! What a brilliant small and intimate performance in the city (and maybe building) that Vivaldi once played! Truly a once in a lifetime evening for us and one we will never forget!
